ACOUSTO-OPTIC TUNABLE FILTER

48000 series Acousto-Optic Tunable Filters (AOTF):

The acousto-optic tunable filter is an acousto-optic device that makes use of anisotropic crystal properties for tuning laser wavelengths over a finite laser wavelength range. Switching times are typically less than 10 microseconds. The output from the tunable filter is almost collinear and is easily corrected for a collinear output. Typical bandwidth of the TeO2 devices are: 0.4–0.7 µm; 0.6–1 µm; 1.2–2 µm; and 2–4 µm.

Fiber Optical Coupling to Acousto-Optic Tunable Filters is avaliable upon special request:
Gooch & Housego, Florida LLC offers the convenience of having fiber optic cables coupled directly to acousto-optic tunable filters. Polarization maintaining single mode fibers are coupled to either the -1st and +1st order outputs. A polarization maintaining fiber delivers polarized light to the input of the filter. The fibers are terminated with FC type connectors unless otherwise specified. This convenient option allows fiber optic applications, such as wavelength division multiplexing in communications, remote sensing, spectroscopy, and other applications, to have the filter's speed and throughput advantage not found in other filter technologies. Add a "-FO" suffix to the Model number.
