AO MODULATOR PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: |
||||||||||
|
The
NEOS Technologies Acousto-Optic modulator systems, companion drivers, and
Bragg mount assemblies make up laboratory turnkey systems for performing
basic experiments in intensity control, beam deflection, and frequency
shifting. These products, also serve both OEM applications and individual
users. |

15000 / 17000 Series:
|
||||||||||
|
The 15000 / 17000 series of Acousto-Optic Modulator Systems
consists of High Speed AO Modulators and RF Drivers ideal for use in high
speed shuttering applications or optical pulse generators. These systems use
high efficiency, antireflection coated, TeO2 or GaP crystals. An optionally
available, AR coated, input / output coupling optics is mounted in an
integral precision alignment assembly, for optimum focusing of an input laser
beam and collimation of the deflected output beam. The combination of high RF
carrier frequency and optimum lens design results in a large angular
separation, of up to 65 mili-radians, between the zero and the first order
deflected output beams. This makes it easy to separate the two beams in space
and maintain a static contrast ratio of at least 500:1. |

23000 Series:
|
||||||||||
|
The 23000 series of Acousto-Optic Modulator is made from TeO2
modulator crystals. Because of its high figure of merit, the required drive
power is low, usually less than a Watt, and can still accept high power light
density in the visible and near-IR range. |

24000 Series:
|
||||||||||
|
The 24000 series of Acousto-Optic Modulator is made from
flint glass. This AO material has a lower figure of merit than TeO2, but its
cost is significantly less. This series is use in applications with bandwidths
of less than 1 MHz and moderate power, light density. it is an inexpensive
alternative to other materials. |

35000 Series:
|
||||||||||
|
The 35000 Series of Acousto-Optic Modulator is made from
Crystal Quartz, Fused Silica, or KrF Grade Fused Silica. These AO Modulators
are for use with high power Argon Ion lasers (up to 20 watts) and are coated typically
for, either 300 to 400 nm, or 440 to 540 nm spectral regions. These
modulators can be coated for wavelengths from 244 nm up to 700 nm. |

|
The "D" in the driver model number is for TTL Digital
control. The "A" in the model number is for Analog control. |
|
2. This modulators include an adjustable mount and integrated optics
package with input / output lens to achieve the rise time. |
|
3. Optional adjustable mounts are available for these modulators. |
|
4. Brewster Window |
|
5. Other Wavelengths Available |
|
6. The
(-FOA) Focusing Optic Assembly is the same device as the listed above except
that it is mounted in the package for use with the 71000 series Focusing
Optic Mount. |
